Time to hone those rigging skills! Any aircraft that possesses more than one wing is fair game - biplanes, triplanes, quadruplanes.
Runs from 3 June 2017 to 15 October 2017.
OK, I'll get the ball rolling. Just gone through my stash and located ...

The extended deadline of 15 October is rapidly approaching and I already read of suggestions for GB8! By my reckoning, we have 8 completions and there's three biplane builds in progress:
ok, i'll have a go at this GB, even though it wont be easy.
there arent that many biplane kits out here, except for the zvezda Po-2.
so i have decided to go for a little something more chalenging, and scratchbuild one
its going to be a challenge, i havent done...

Due to limited free time, this project will be withdrawn from the GB :|
I decided for the An-2 from Amodel. I have a few of those kits around and I really need to thin my stash, so I thought I would try to build two at once. I will be using these two below.
But I don't plan on building the versions from the box. One will be an...

They certainly make the Hurricane above them look miniscule. Having been close and personal with , the Colt is more like a Clydesdale! :o
I should probably come out with it straight away... I love the I-153 :D
I'd always hoped someone would produce a viable model of one, and many times I'd daydreamed of making one from scratch. Such a compact little airframe though, crowded with contours, textures and details. I...

Thought I'd better jump in before the GB closes. Just wanted to say thanks to all for the encouragement and a big thanks for armory for making such a great little kit. Fantastic decals too. Some of the best I've ever used.
Well, it is fair to say I had a change of heart. Well, multiple changes of heart, to be honest. I swayed back and forth between one of my nine Avia B-534s and my sole Polikarpov Po-2. In the end, I have decided that my first effort in GB6 will be one of my pair of F-Toys' Fiat...
While the good folks at Armory are trying to figure out what became of the Polikarpov I-15 I ordered from them back in April, I thought I'd have a go at something else as I wait for the matter to be resolved.
This is F-Toys' excellent little Pete that was released a year or so...

Looking good. That Gladiator is an improvement already. Very nice. The u/c legs are also too long, just to forewarn you.
So - as I said somewhere else, I'm going to take it easy on this GB as I'm starting a new job and don't know what my time commitments are going to be like. I have a few candidates for biplanes however, first on the list being the Grumman J2F6/OA-12A Duck.
I um'd and ah'd...

Yes, damn Photobucket to the depths of hell. As Cat says in Red Dwarf, sometimes the old ways are the best. Fabulous little completion.
To my eyes, a biplane looks naked without rigging. To be honest, if you stood far enough away from a real Sopwith Camel, far enough so that it looked like a 1/144 model, I doubt you'd see very little of the real rigging, so with that observation in mind, feel free to skip...
