I don't really associate the P-39 Airacobra with the fighting in North Africa. In fact, I don't really associate it with fighting in Europe either, other than on the Eastern Front obviously. In US hands, I tend to think of the Cobra fighting it out over the peaks of New Guinea...

Starting point for this idea was the Dragon Jagdpz IV I had once bought as an extra to make shipping costs more efficient.
Initially I thought it wouldn't fit in any of the GBs, as it is plastic and the JPz IV were not deployed to Africa. Then, by coincidence, I found a picture...

Italian WW2 planes are very rare in 1/144 scale, and the Sweet Macchi is maybe the only mainstream model in not pre painted plastic. It's a great kit with fine details and shape very well catched. Anyway is far from perfection. Flat engine detail, closed cockpit, closed wheels...

Are you doing for the rings or dots camouflage? The decals are certainly not the easiest solution.

Love the engine, I have three more of these in the stash so will definitely order some engines if you cast them.
