SMT 1/144 "The Betty" (Alien:Resurrection)

Doesn't matter if it is factual or fictional, if it's out of this world, it goes here!

Wow indeed!

Just one question: I remember watching a documentary about scale models in cinema and one of the modelers interviewed was talking about how bright (strong bright yellow) Betty was. He was commenting that it was hard to capture in film because the director insisted in no direct lighting and so they were bouncing very strong spots on black cloth to get enough exposure and in the process overheating the model itself (causing blistering paint and distorted plastic!!!
Wasn't Betty a bit more yellow?

Edit: I manage to find the clip on youtube. here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8b6jUw1m9w
And the following link also have nice stills of the model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uc59xl09Kk

Cheers

It might've been, but, taking advantage of the realms of imagination, I didn't want to reproduce the filming miniature and preferred the more subdued tone that I eventually ended up with.

Thanks for the comments.
My biggest challenge was trying to work out how things might've moved on the real thing and then making it happen. I spend a lot of time watching and re-watching the few moments on DVD that featured the lady flying.

For those fancying a go at her, Federation Models still has copies for sale, under the Miscellaneous Models section.
It's my madness that keeps me sane.

Really nice build.
I didn't like the movie that much, but I loved that ship.
