I have found a link with step-by-step over at hyperscale to IMGUR - this could be useful for some people?

i think IMGUR is not happy with the prospect of supporting hot linking and will have to react to the giant flood of newbs who think they have a "free" replacement for their PB failure.

the ferry is listing badly to port - quick everyone run to starboard as fast you can -that will save this sinking ship!

This news article pretty much says it all. $US400 per annum? They will be getting something ... it won't be the money but it will be per anum!

I've deleted my account. My images here were uploaded so there was no problem.

Well I've fixed one thread.

Took about 20 minutes as had to do it all manually - the Smugglr migration app for Smugmug won't work for me. Don't hold your breath waiting for me to fix them but I will, slowly but surely, if only because I refuse to let photobucket win.

I have uploaded so few images on PB and even fewer recently I could barely recall my username and password for the site. Is there any downside in simply ignoring them or is it safer to terminate the account? All images that I had uploaded were stored on a hard drive anyway and I wouldn't even use any hosting site if I had known it was possible to upload photos direct

I'm not going to delete my account, just for spite, because that's what they would prefer.
I'm going to leave my stuff stored there in case I need to download it again in future.
