Antonov An-22 visited Bremen

#1

Post by MC84 »

My other passion, next to the Modelling, is the Planespotting. I the last years it was able to spot many planes, like the Air Force One, several Antonovs or classics like the Boeing 727. This year I finally get a perfect shot of the worlds biggest Freighter, the Antonov An-225. But one big Antonov was missing.

At 17th September the impossible happened: The Antonov An-22, the world's largest turboprop powered, aged 46 years old, came for the first (and probably for the last time) to my home airport Bremen. To load freight for Baku, Azerbaijan.

Everything fits, after a cloudy Wednesday, the weather was perfect, I got the Night-Shift at work and it was able to be there.

The designers at Antonov certainly don't believe in size limitations when it comes to aircraft. :D
