Sorry, I'm missing something here, as I don't understand.

What is "Direct Sunlight"?

I'm with merlin on this one, what is this "sun" you get that can melt anything other than an ice lolly at noon on the one day a year of high summer

i'm feeling unwell just looking at it!

I wish i could have shown you the -6 from earlier in the week ( i bet at the time you secretly wished you where some place cooler, maybe not quit that cool?) - this morning its a tropical 7.... It was probably even colder up Merlins way rather than in the soft south....

LUXURY!

Us dad would mek us stand in t'rain, 'til we was wet, 'cos we didn't have our own watter, then he would wazz snow at us, to warm us up...etc.

Thanks, Mark. I was out working in the bloody garden that day! And we've had warmer days in the past. Melbourne's record is 46.4 deg C (115.5 def F) on 7 Feb 2009, which sadly was the catalyst for the disastrous Black Saturday bushfires. Last year, we had four consecutive days in excess of 40 deg C.

And, as a kid, I did have one aircraft model exposed to this "direct sunlight" which converted it into a Flying Banana. However, unlike evilBay friend here, I decided not to advertise the fact ... and certainly not try to sell it.
