I'm not obliged to disclose the type yet, but I can promise that MiniWing will bring some resin goodness for post-WWII British AF fans later this year.

After all the trials and tribulations building my Airalex DH103, I'll pull the rest of my hair out if it turns out to be a Hornet/Sea Hornet. However, if I was a betting man, I'd plump for a Gannet. My closest hobby shop has a completed Welsh Models vacform of the type proudly displayed in a glass cabinet near their entrance.

Im convinced it will be a Firefly - having just impoverished myself to get the KdK ones!

Holding out for a Scimitar.

Great minds, ajmm. I just thought about the Firefly after reading the thread on the F-Toys' new Corsair and the dialogue regarding the FAA version.

None of those. I got the permission to announce it, so the kits released in the second half of the year will be Meteor TMk7 and Mk8.

See Jiri, we just keep a-pushing 'til you spill the beans! I've already got my F8 planned ... the late George Hale's "Halestorm". If it comes out looking like this 1/48 baby, I'll be happy enough.

Now Wege, go and attend to those undies, please ...

Oh good.

On a completely unrelated note does anyone know how to make silly amounts of money very very fast? I've heard drug dealing works... Perhaps starting a fruit-themed computer-selling company? I may have some serious outgoings later this year, probably around the same time the meteors are released come to think of it.

Smeg - check out Vector144 (Hekktor's) Meteor F.8 decals. Has the scheme you're after there. I will order some I think.

As the T.7 is effectively a twin F.4 modified for training, it should also be possible to backdate to an F.4. And in one deft stroke, (almost) all my Meteor desires are catered for!

Wünderbar (wunderbat as autocorrect would have it, amusingly) Jiri, thanks for spilling the beans!

I went back over my list from 2010 to see how things had changed in 6 years....

Yakovlev Yak-38 Forger so far resin only
Yakovlev Yak-141 Freestyle again, resin only
AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo - not seen this from anyone
Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer - resin only
Northrop YA-9 - not seen it
Bristol Type 156 Beaufighter - yes! Kits and Gashapons
McDonnell F-101 Voodoo - - resin only unless you coun't the old Entex/Otaki
S-64 Skycrane - resin
Chengdu J-10 - resin
Shenyang J-XX - nope
Hawker Sea Fury - gashapon and resin
Mk46 or Mk 47 Seafire - not seen this from anyone yet
Mig 31 Firefox - resin only
F-35C Lightning II - yes, thanks Pit Road. Ugly looking bird though.
Harrier GR3 (Dolphin nose) - resin only from FoxOne
Sukhoi PakFA - yes
U2/TR1 - yes
F/A-37 Talon - nothing so far. Had hoped Fantastic Plastic might do a Talon and EDI Ucav double set in resin but nope...
OV-10 Bronco (late model) - miniwings resin only
Avro Vulcan - yes
Handley Page Victor - yes
Mirage IV - Miniwings resin only
F-7F Tigercat - resin only
OV-1 Mohawk - yes but resin only
A-7 Corsair USAF - also resin only
Douglas F-4D Skyray - and again resin only

Actually not bad all told. A few injection kits have appeared and whilst I would prefer injection to resin, beggars can't be choosers.

Still can't understand the lack of late model Spitfires and Seafires though, styrene or resin.

possibly because a lot of the 1/144 manufacturers appear to be Eastern/Central European and Asia....?
