Glad you told us that, Grampsie. I would have been wondering why your grandkids were so small. :P

And Mike, that’s one helluva major project. I’d have to take over the neighbouring apartment to entertain anything that size. Impressive start, too.

Thanks Smeg. No room in the house for this, it has to be done in the 12ft x 12ft shed.
David, are you still coming up to the museum today? It's a bit inclement at the mo'.

cheers

That's great news! I'm very glad to hear you are recovering. :)

I'm still on the GB trail this weekend. Priming and sanding with tiny pieces of wet and dry paper along inaccessible wing roots. When In do come up for airI'm looking into USN colours of the 1930's and wondering where the heck I'm going to find .5 or .6mm high lettering to spell USS MACON... :( :?

Great news Nils. I hope you have a speedy and full recovery.

I’ve continued studiously ignoring my GB commitment (yes - full ostrich I’m afraid but I’ve been having a lot of fun all the same). Aside from taking the family to look around a grand and imposing house near London (Cliveden - beautiful)...

And then unmasking it!

Gee well done everyone. With the weekend just past I had a bit of a break. Struggling to deal with a Win10 OS after Win7 ....this is a test of resizing an picture as the old methodolgy doesn't exist (apparently). It's Bandai's Super Star Destroyer. Just added a bot of mottling on the planar surfaces.

A little belated due to a lack of Internet accessibility, here's what I was up to away from the workbench the weekend before last. It's school hols here and for the first time in ages, our non-teaching mid-semester break corresponded with the primary and secondary schools' schedule. So I took my two young ladies up to Bright in Central Victoria, right in the heart of the Alpine country. As it's pretty late in the season, there wasn't a lot of snow around but, given I drive a little Hyundai Getz and not a big 4WD, no bad thing going up into the mountains.

Even then, it was sometimes necessary to park the car and use the old legs to get to higher ground ...
Road to Apex Lookout Bright.JPG
The "road" above was branded suitable for 4WD traffic. My preference would have been an Abrams tank. And there was just enough snow at Mt Buffalo for my girls to bombard each other with compressed balls of frozen H2O ...

Back at my job and with SWMBO planning outdoor working bees now that we've entered Spring, I'm not sure how much modelling is going to get done in coming weeks. As I said elsewhere, the focus will be the P-36 for GB10. Anything else, including the additions to the SoS, will be a bonus.

Looks like proper fun. Can I come next time?!

I am currently nursing a newly arrived son. All fun and games. Insomnia has set in.

Now staying with parents in law for a few weeks. Expect little to no modelling. I did get some work on my Gee Bees done before the mad dash to hospital. I’ll update that thread when I come up for air!
