Hello everyone.

Here is my build of an Anigrand bonus kit, in this case from the Messerschmitt P.08.01 box, and the main reason why I bought it. It is among my favourite Luft 46 designs. I finished it 3 years ago.
Like all Anigrand kits that I have worked with so far, the kit parts required plenty of work though this one was better in general. In fact it was my second Anigrand and second all-resin kit. I added an instrument panel and control yolks to the cockpit and painted some belts to the seats although in the end not much could be seen. The guns were way too thick so I thinned them down considerably. The undercarriage doors were also too thick and were also thinned. I found this kit was a tail-sitter so I made three holes, one inside the top turret and large ones in the wing undersides and filled them with lead balls. The turret covered the top hole but the bottom ones had to be filled and sanded smooth with superglue and putty. At least it isn't a tail-sitter anymore, although the nose wheel doesn't touch the ground!! The scheme was inspired by illustrations in a book and I made it a machine for the MTO. Extra markings came from a Minicraft He 111H and the white bands were made from white decal. The whole kit was brush painted except for the Lifecolor Matt Clear which was airbrushed afterwards.

Great results, Miguel. The paint scheme really fits well, an operational machine.
