More 1/72 stuff - Latest build

Postby cowleyi » Fri Jun 14, 2019 7:24

Team, This is the most friendly supportive modelling group out there as far as I am concerned so I have taken the liberty of uploading my latest 1/72 scale job. A SEAC Liberator from the Hasegawa B-24D kit. Built OOB. It represents an all Australian crew that flew for 354 Sqn RAF.

Interesting the colour saturation from indoor fluoro compared to outdoor under evening light conditions ....dumb I phone.

Happy Modelling all and as always happy to take questions or cop flak.

Crikey that's good. Don't tempt me to indulge in these heathen bigger scales! Your weathering is outstanding, as ever Ian. Airbrush witchcraft.

I do wish we had a decent Liberator in 144 - the crown/minicraft kit cockpit/forward fuselage just looks off to me and is too difficult to fix.

Another absolute gem, Ian. I am sure that if you'd entered something in the recent Model Expo - any scale - you would have been leaving with a First Place under your belt. ;)

Hey Greg,

Nah, maybe in the 1/144 scale stuff although you never know. By the way someone just castigated me on another site for not painting the canopy frames cockpit green prior to putting the blue on.... Naughty me....No podium for me in the 72 scale OOB category.
