I would like to do a launch scene onboard a Forrestal class carrier and would like to know if the Jet Blast Deflector (JBD) in Dragon's kit #4003 F/A-18 with carrier deck would be suitable. I don't know if the JBD sizes/design changed between the super-carriers, so not sure if that JBD was for a later type such as the Nimitz. Any US carrier experts know the answer?
cheers
Mike

I would say yes, as long as the "Shooters Station" is the open hatch version, with the shooter sitting on the deck. The all-enclosed station, I would think, is more for the 'super carriers'...

Thanks Matt, I did wonder about that station and whether it should be one or both. Your response has clarified that.
