Interesting, the packaging looks like the altaya .
There were a number of bombers on the schedule posted on teh Altaya.Fr website, but this has been pulled sometime back. I thought there was a list on this site, but can i find it? I dont recall if the PZL was ever one of the "to be confirmed" options, if not it could just have been a promo or teaser for the Polish market? As for cheap then if you like it, couldt be an oppertunity to grab it, they looks like a dealer of collectbales in general so he could just be clearing some stock?

I bought one: you'll get an 'extra' review on the Altaya Bombers thread as soon as I get it. :D

Hi,

this is first item from a new series "flying fortress" by Amercom, Polish publisher of many collections as helicopters, trains, car, etc.
Next models from this series:

As each first item, it's cheap, 5,95 PLN (Polish zloty), ca. 1,50 EUR. I bought 2 pieces, one for my son and one for me as it look very nice. Below you can see some pictures of this interesting model.
More info about the aircraft: http://en.wikipedia.org

Rather heavy on the panel lines and the fuselage joint looks more like an Atlas release, but the AmerCom stands are identical to the Altaya ones. I see there's a B-17F on the way as release number 2 (Altaya issued two Flying Forts, a B-17G and a B-17C), and there's that pic showing the Los and Flying Fort with a Lanc, Ju88A, Vulcan and B-52.

Woit, is the P-37 almost completely metal (like Atlas and Corgi) or does it have plastic wings (like many Altaya/IXO releases)? One thing for certain ... it's a helluva lot better than Mikro's effort.

Sorry, Peter, no offence! You did a great job on a kit that started out as very ordinary (see the unpainted unit in my response in that same thread).

I've tried the online translator (sorry, Russ, had to do it!) to see whether Amercom accept subscriptions outside of Poland (remembering that Altaya.fr did not accept outside of France and Altaya.es outside of Spain). Whilst I didn't succeed in answering that question, I did note that the larger examples (I assume the Vulcan and B-52 for starters) are to 1/200 scale, and that 48 aircraft will be issued fortnightly.

And Woit, if the P-37 is being offered at the special introductory price (typical of these Altaya/Atlas/De Agostini part-work subscriptions) of 1.50 euro, then our friend on evilBay is making a reasonable profit at $US9.99 a time. Then again, $US20 including postage is about as cheap as you'll ever find any Altaya bombers (other than the initial B-17G) selling for on eBay.

They do look more like the Atlas range, but they used to come in Polystyrene boxes with plastic sleeve. Altaya used to do the blisterpacks?
Well, I suppose the world moves on.

It will be interesting to see what actually pans out.
If the lancaster is the atlas editions one, I hope they have learnt to put the tail on the right way around! :D

Wings, tail, fuselage are metal. Rudder, undercarriage, propellers and rest details are plastic.

Three Polish eBayers advertising the P-37 now. Even at the inflated price (compared to the 1.50 euro Woit reported), still worth getting hold of. Not so sure about the next release, though. Here's a pic of the B-17F I found on a Polish site ...

IMHO, the panel lines on this one really detract from the overall appearance, as does the apparent lack of transparencies for the cockpit and tail gunner positions. Looks like a filler and re-scribe job to me.
