Re: Stupid Ebay Prices
Notwithstanding most of shapeways pricing now seems over the top, you do wonder who a) they are appealing to, and b) who has the money to pay?
Maybe i'm just getting old?
Well, we now have a candidate to outstrip the J7W1's !

US $141.69 / Approximately £112.74 - the shipping is free though!

Re: Stupid Ebay Prices
I have found a good selection of Sweet plane kits on Amazon Marketplace from Japan, but while some are decently priced, a great many are listed at £50+ and this doesn't include postage.

Re: Stupid Ebay Prices
Following on with that thought, everyone here knows how much I love Sweet kits, and numerous Hurricanes are either sitting on the shelf or in the stash. But this evilBayer in Japan might be pushing it a tad too far. $AUS200+ for the kit, then a further $AUS170 for postage?

Re: Stupid Ebay Prices
I think I would want it hand delivered by a giant Gundam at that price.

Re: Stupid Ebay Prices
45 quid for 24 months? "Sorry, can't join you for dinner. The monthly installment on my Sweet kit is due!"
Wonder how much of the real steel planking you could have purchased for 950 quid in 1943? And that had free postage, too.

Re: Stupid Ebay Prices
If only this guy understood that "rare" doesn't necessary translate to "well worth getting hold off". Mikro144 (definitely not to be confused with Mikro Mir) issued some of the worst kits ever (check out the "Spitfire" and "Hurricane" here). In fact, having seen what you get, I'd actually rate kits from the Israeli company Starfix higher, and boy, that's some condemnation!
