Well it does say "or best offer"

"Revell Scale 1/144 HAWKER TYPHOON MK 1B Model Number H-1015 UNMADE OLD AND RARE" £15.00 + £4.95 p&p

eBay link

Probably the rarest thing about this kit is that it's a Spitfire inside a Typhoon box!

Definitely a one-off. And here's me making its 1973 stablemate, the Tempest Mk V. Better not stuff it up with it being so rare. Oh wait, it's a Tempest in a Tempest box. Damn!

What is with the prices on the old DML stuff of late on ebay? Is it just because it's all out of production and kind of rare? An average of about $22-24 per kit.

As an example of a number of "damaged" builds, check this out. Not so much a case of stupid prices, more a case of "why bother?" Whilst I can understand some collectors buying damaged Dinky-type diecasts to restore them, the same doesn't really apply to standard plastic kits IMHO. And someone could have washed the greasy dust off the things before photographing them.

Not so much a stupid price (though well over my budget), I see the long-OOP Big Bird G4M and Ohka "special" on evilBay went for $US74. Was anyone here on our forum the successful bidder? Come on, 'fess up!

Ah, not me. I’ve already got one of those stashed away.
I noticed Touring was selling one on eBay too... at a cool $200 USD.

Not a stupid price but the listing for this B-29 made me chuckle:

I wonder if it is contagious at all? Note that overseas delivery possible though delivery time significantly increased by mandatory six month quarantine period.
