Air Race
Do you like big Italian red racing cars as Ferrari ?
Do you know that they also exist in planes ?
And even in seaplanes ?
See here : https://144airbattle.blogspot.com/2018/ ... -line.html
And if you like Italian planes, see here : https://144airbattle.blogspot.com/2018/ ... itare.html
Interested ? So take a detour to Italy...

Teddybeer
Two great posts, loving the Schneider Cup aircraft, and the other italian military aircraft they have preserved some great airframes.
Campini-Caproni 2 will you try casting your own metal version, or seek aid from Jacques at Creations Chaubet ?

Kami de Koro Koro did a resin kit some years back but it is well and truly OOP. Even Radjapan has none left.bluedonkey99 wrote:Campini-Caproni 2 will you try casting your own metal version, or seek aid from Jacques at Creations Chaubet ?

Re: Air Race
I think I will try to mold it myself, wings and empennage are quite thick.bluedonkey99 wrote: Campini-Caproni 2 will you try casting your own metal version (...) ?
Wow !!!! Mr. Bluedonkey, are you spying on me ?... or seek aid from Jacques at Creations Chaubet ?

Maybe you have some informations about the 1/144 world ?

But yes, I effectively asked Jacques for help but for something else.
See below.
I will talk about it soon on my blog....

Re: Air Race
I thought I saw a Vultee Vengeance in there for a sec. Wishful thinking I expect.

Re: Air Race
Great minds and all that. When zoomed in, I realised the tail was completely different and the aircraft in question didn't have the bent wing of the Vengeance. Yep, wishful thinking here, too. And having just done the starboard views of all the Vengeances I did decal artwork for, the desire has only intensified.

Re: Air Race
The planes at 12 O’clock and 3 O’clock both have ‘holes’ at the ends of their horizontal tail planes for what I guess are small vertical stabilisers, like on the Loire 130.

Re: Air Race
Good pick-up, Peter. The only one I am sure of (says he sticking head in noose) is the one at 4.30 using the clock analogy. Reckon it is a Boulton-Paul Defiant. Wing and tail profiles check out and there appears to be a circular depression behind the cockpit area in the upper half of the mould. Am I right, Teddybeer? The delta wing is very Lippisch-like, having no rounded ends. I first thought Convair something, possible the XF-92, but it doesn't match what's in the mould.
