McYellowbelly's Aeroclub Mosquito

To celebrate the Centenary of the Royal Air Force, welcome to our first year-long Group Build. With the amalgamation of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Naval Air Service on 1 April 1918, the RAF is the oldest air force on the planet, so there is plenty of scope in the Build. Anything RAF-related goes … aircraft, vehicles, boats, personnel, you name it.
Runs from 1 January to 31 December 2018.

McYellowbelly's Aeroclub Mosquito

Well, after all the hoohah over the Mark 1 mosquito that may or may not be appearing, I've decided to get an Aeroclub B35 out of the loft.
Will be built as a B35 or maybe a TT35
Pics will follow......

Nice. I've never seen an Aeroclub mosquito before, so I'll look forward to it.

Along with the F-Toys and Bandai gashapon, the Aeroclub Mossie is one we do know exists! I've seen the Aeroclub package several times but never seen what's inside, so I will be watching this thread with interest. Some good reference material on the B35 here.

As promised.
Forgot how old this kit is, from 1991!
Mouldings are basic, but look good and accurate.
Nacelles are in 2 halves, but shown here built and filled.
Wheel wells are solid, with the u/c legs attached to the doors.
Might open up the wells, but tempted to make this one 'in flight' as befits a Mosquito!
Still undecided whether to build one of the kit schemes or make a TT35

that's pretty. I really like Aeroclub's tools. too bad the kits are becoming rare.
basic, as you say, but a true and handsome model is definately in there.

People forget how the Dragon/Revell Su27 is pre-1991.. ;) I recall building that one in about 1989. :D

I have just done one as a target tug, a nice colourful scheme. However, the cockpit canopy is larger than the interior so watch out for that.
