What is the best Model scale 1/*** ?:: 144
Reason for joining the forum?:: I have been modelling for just over thirty years. I have mostly built aircraft with occasional sci-fi and armour kits and mostly at scale 1/72. Ever since I read an article called "Room for more with One-Four-Four" in Scale Models in the late 1980s, I have interested in building aircraft at this scale but only doing so every now and then due to the lack of kits available. This has changed with time and last year was the first year that I only built at 1/144 and 13 out of 14 kits I've built so far this year are at this scale. At first I only thought the scale ideal for larger aircraft, modern jet fighters, etc but after seeing the quality of Sweet and Platz kits, I've changed my mind (I'm just finishing a series of Zeroes). Apart from the matter of size (I live in a flat), it's also the possibility of building more variants or options of the same type.
