1. Knock a fully finished 1/600 Airfix USS Forestal from a shelf onto the floor
2. Picked up my AMT USS Enterprise. Put it onto a chair and sat on it!

Hahaha, true. :lol: With all these self-reinforcing algorithms that feed you just what you want to hear, it's a slippery slope for sure. Not to forget that for many people links via social media have replaced actual news media so they often don't even know if they're reading...

In Yokosuka, Japan there were two hobby shops within walking distance from the base.
One was somewhat like the model but the second one was a combination store and home.

I sure miss being able to walk into a store that was totally dedicated to building models.

Indeed, though, as time has progressed, I'm finding satisfaction in finding more 1/72 and 1/144 models as well as 1/1000. Obviously, much of sci-fi is more fantasy-fi, but I do like being able to compare and contrast...I find a 1/72 Star Fury and even a Runabout fairly credible,...

I can recommend trying to find this one (it's expensive, 13.5€ a bottle) but you gaven't tasted anything like that...

These Canadian Alpha Jets (are also A-4 Skyhawk) from Top Aces who are currently based at Nordholz Naval Airbase (ETMN) due the modernisation of Wittmundhafen Air Base.

No .. the fujimi decals was very good. and when the kit was 5, 8 years old builded.. no problem.. they had the brigth red meatballs , but these had maybe 15, 20 years..build.. and the cabin where they are exposed have contiunous exposition of artificial lamps...fluorescent...
