Hello, my name is Fabio and I come from Vicenza (near Venice). I usually model ww2 aircraft in 1/72 but I have a secret passion for 1/144.
With a friend I produce decals for subjects of the Italian air force and hope to expand production even at smaller scale.
Bye!
ps: I...

Benvenuto, Fabiolone: I'm quite intereted in your decal projects (I was trying to produce decals for Italian '104s, Tornado IDV, and AMX for my B/W laser printer but I'd ne quite happy to find some well-made, ready-to-use decal set). Keep us updated on your work!
Hello everyone,
For some reason I have taken a break from this site, and many others. I don't know what happened that pulled me away, but work, family and reading has kept me away from viewing or posting on this site, and from working on some models. I keep getting ideas on...

Oh it is overflowing alright. Just with little plastic wonders wrapped in cardboard boxes, and a few in baggies. ;) I really need to clear off some space on the workbench to actually put them together and get rid of the boxes and turn that plastic into a more realistic 3D...
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from the Midwest and a member of other diecast forums for collecting. I used to collect 1/72 but life events happened sold everything and now am in a good place to start over. I collect 1/32 airplanes and armor and have recently...
Longtime collector of mostly pre-made pre-painted models here. Started collecting 1:18 scale 21st Century Toys, then the 1:32 when they were first made. Went to 1:72 diecast, but as the availability of bombers became limited, as recent as last year discovered the...

Welcome to the forum from all of us Down Under. We'll even forgive the 50% of your make-up that isn't Aussie!
Reading through members' bios, most of us didn't start in 1/144 but, for various reasons, found our way into the scale. Have to admit that 1/18 is definitely...
I´m glad to join this forum and could see your amazing photos! I loved the whatiff section, awesome work!
I'm a 1/72 modeller from my childhood( oh no, Holden is a foe!). But I ever liked to do collections of vehicles, different versions and different camos of the...

Then I´ll continue with World of Tanks special armor (prototypes and funnies), and my favourites...
some of you probably already have some of my work at home, but I feel I should introduce myself properly :)

Yes, most of the references are from those two books, the rest from other MiG-21 related books, magazine articles and from my internet archive -- pictures downloaded from various websites.
I'm waiting for another volumes of Arab MiGs, because those released so far are still...
Well, it's not that cold at the moment but here in Calgary, Alberta, we do get lots of snow and bouts of Arctic tempearures. Anyway, I'm an immigrant from Manchester UK, been here 19 years. Mainly a 1/72 builder but have tried my hand at a few 144 models and really enjoyed them,...

Welcome, I hope that even if Calgary is on the nippy side its fresh and bright and not that bone sapping cold and damp you get on the wrong side of the Pennines?
I hope you enjoy the flirtation with the darkside and embrace 1/144.
My name is Craig the Rocklion.I have been building models for 44 years. I have been building my own creations for 25 years. I now buy kits and use them as parts & build and design my own creations. I often fabricate my own parts out of spare parts. I do build kits like normal...

Yeap! got Craig to come and join the forum...We are both building 1/144th currently but both build a tremendous lot of other stuff. Met Craig through work, I am training his German Sheperd Abby....and we got talking about hobbies and realized we both have been building models...

Martin has kindly registered me for this forum. I am the other 1/144th WW1/1930's/40's aircraft modeller on shapeways.
Here is my current portfolio of aircraft:
I've been making models since the 70's mostly for wargaming, then in 2001 I progressed onto Train and...

Paul,
Welcome.
It's good to see you have found your way here.
I certainly am familiar with your work on the WoG Aerodrome, and great work it is too.
Look forward to seeing what you have in the pipeline.
Hello People
New member here. I build 1/144 aircraft, chiefly from plastic kits but always intertested in new possibilities for modern jets as long as they will be compatible with my collection.
Great site - glad to find it

the board is being invaded by spambots, hopefully the admins will find a fix for it soon.
phew what a smell.
Just a short note to say hello.Retired two years ago and having finished a few projects around the house am now going to start model making again after a lapse of about 50 years! First model was a pale blue plastic Airfix Spitfire bought for 1/6d (7.5p in todays...

Hello and welcome.
Yes, 1/144 allows whole squadrons without taking up too much space and can look very impressive.
I did a lot of modelling when I was young, but after a hiatus of 20 years I am retaking this hobby. I started collecting gashapon (Can.do, Takara, F-Toys) of modern tanks and helicopters (post-WW II only) and I am now embarked on building small stands for my collection....
Hello all,
Got a link to here from Aussiemodeller forums. My 1/144th building/interest is mainly commercial airliners, but also includes some of the larger WW2 planes.
Cheers,

Hi JT,
And greetings from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. There's a few of we Aussies on this forum. You will find that Peter (Mr Hawkins, above) does an excellent line in resin kits covering a wealth of WW2 aircraft subjects, albeit that the largest is probably the Vickers...
I'm Gaz, and I'm a careless and impatient kit assembler! I've been trying to become a modeller for years,
but my poor skills keep holding me back . . .
I mostly model in 1/72, and have recently made an attempt at moving to 1/48, but as a scale it's so
unforgiving (so...

Hi Gaz...this is definitely the place to be for those interested in the sensible scale.
Just joined up and thought it proper and polite to introduce myself...
I've been modelling forever and my childhood experience of 1/144 was none too clever. A misinformed Aunt bought me a tiny Wildcat, to sit with my vast 1/72 collection. It looked well out of place and it...

Wow Bruce ,
You didn't leave any kit from any 1/144 manufacturer that i know of that you haven't built ! Great work and awesome builds , welcome on board !
My name is Francisco and I've been gluing pieces for 13 or 14 years. My main interest are 1/72 scale models but the growing offering in 1/144 and curiosity about 3D printing lead me here.
I've built an handful of 1/144 models in the past, mainly Revell kits. The...

Hello amigos,
I'm 54 and still playing with plastic models since the age of 13. Returned to plastic modeling last year after 8 years break; I got involved building a Revell AG 1/87th Plastic Scale model of a German Steam Locomotive ... the BR01 for someone else and got the bug...

Hello again, and a few quick updates: I live about 25 miles straight north of Indian Lakes Resort, which is still open, as is Des Plaines Hobbies, although Ron moved it around the corner. The Cubbies are still hopeless, but Wrigley is lots of fun (I can't afford tickets there,...
Hello, fellow braille-scale nuts! I am a life-long model builder and collector and IPMS member here in Northern Illinois. I used to be well known as a crazed modeler in my club, for building fully-rigged 1/72 biplanes. Now, the guys are completely certain I've lost my mind,...

Greetings Dave from one of the Down Under Clan.
The biggest problem with going smaller is that each year we age, it gets increasingly harder to see the component pieces, much less manipulate and paint the damned things! Having delved into the world of 1/144 barely 5 years ago...
