I suppose I could be dead sneaky and cheeky and cheekily sneak in, but I won't.
There are some things I think I need to address and may still rig the blighters. Currently, that's not an option 'cos I knocked my last bit of Zipkicker over.
(Gosh! Did I say some rude words...
After plenty of deliberation as to the next GB item from the House of Smeg, I've decided to defer on the refinish of the Algernon Products' Sunderland (which may well still get a look-in before the end of hostilities). With my purchased pair of Hellcats still somewhere other...

oh nice! glad to see the three all done. those canopy lines rival F-toys laser printed ones. 8-)
A GSB one was a must.
It just occurs to me (speaking of times zones) you managed to cover the globe with this project. :ugeek:
This is a bonus kit I traded for a while ago, from an Anigrand set I cant remember which. But after seeing all of Angus's lovely Sea blue airplanes, I decided I wanted to do one too, and this came to hand.

It is an experimental, never flew prototype, what-if, but...

My Other Half's response to this would be to suggest the empty space between my ears.
Thanks to a wonderful arrival of some neat looking decals care of Merlin.. (btw the decal instructions appear to be in 1/144 scale too :D ) (muchus gracias sennnnnnnnooorrrrrerrrrrrrrrrrr) -I have started on the EA6B.
Firstly.. this kit is from 1988 from Revell West...

You've done amazingly well to keep a decal active for 1/2 an hour. Every time I get carried away with positioning, I somehow end up distorting or completely destroying the decal. Sometimes the spares box has been my one lifeline. Other times, ehhh ....
Yes, life is definitely a female canine but, as Merlin said, one completion is better than none. As long as Number Two doesn't spend too much time on the Shelf of Shame, all will be well. Oh, and with individual posts taking 3/4 of an hour, fear not, you'll soon be as bad as me!...
Ok, I hope I am not too late for this! After thinking about all the possibilities in my stash, I let my 6 year old daughter choose and she picked the box with cartoon cats all over it. What a surprise. :D
So I will be building both planes in the box. One will be green and the...
Another well made 1/144 from Revell.
Tiny cockpit, with tiny strips of tape added for harness, (it was easier to add tape than it was to paint them on).
I was expected to painted the dials on that instrument panel!
NOT this time!
Meanwhile, inside the underneath, the...

Must be a biggy...they're talking 78 hours for complete restoration.
No issues with FaceBook here, so I think that might've been coincidental.
Hi all,
This is very much an out of the comfort zone build.
I have quite a number of wooden masters made for me by a craftsman so that I could detail and use for casting. Some of these were used for my resin kits such as the Do26, Ha139, He115, Late298 etc. They are great for...
A late start on this but as I intend it to be a very clean build, as in very limited weathering as these aircraft were kept very clean, there is a chance I can finish in time.
First step after main assembly and checking of dimensions and shapes against plans (very accurate),...

Agree with Merlin ... almost into Blitzbau territory! Both of us opted out of one last entry ... prove to us that we were wrong. ;)
With the start date for the Second Glorious Group Build rapidly approaching and recalling the process we used so successfully for the Transport Aircraft GB, I think it's now time for one and all to create a topic folder for their first planned project. Or several in the case of...

I know this one isn't going to remotely meet the GB deadline, so I've tried one more attempt at contacting John at Aeroclub so the model can be completed later in the year.
Can't be sure how many I will complete. I have four complete kits. I havent inventoried my decals, not sure if I have what I want, or if I'll use whatever I have.
I Plan to make Orions seen on Kwajalein. Numerous US Navy VP squadrons are known to have transited to and from South...

Excellent builds very nicely done. An often overlooked aircraft but the P3 always catches your eye.
I'd already done a Matador and an Ace of Spades and the other Revell decal options are all for land-based aircraft and, as such, not really suitable for this GB.
However, I discovered Lilliput Air Force in Japan produced a set of decals for an Italian Navy Harrier II;...

First of all, another lovely addition to the Completed Gallery. The finish belies the speed with which you finished the Harrier. :D
Re: the decals, are these ALPS-printed? If not, it is unusual to use sublimation printing then not have each decal with its own individual...
If I'm gonna go, may as well go large. Here's the plan

This might need to be a bit of a speed build. I'm hoping to strip the Cafereo Sunderland down, convert to a waterline model and backdate it to a Mk1 while I'm at it. New glazing, turrets and...

Hah! Ain't THAT the truth?!?
Certainly puts mine to shame. I do particularly like your exhaust work...well smart!
As reported elsewhere in this GB, Merlin is tackling . A number of us have been down that road in the past. Ever since I purchased my first gashapon off evilBay back in 2006, I have always dismantled the item back to its component parts, painting the odd internal feature here...

Will do. The local newsagent at Knoxfield holds copies of Flightpath.
Imaginatively named thing. This was a pioneering jet seaplane design which was prompted by the apparent success of the Japanese Zero floatplanes and the dearth of carriers (and presumably runways) in the CBI and Pacific theatres. In the end, US carriers became available and the...

That's one less option you've got if the next GB is Prototypes ! Fantastic build of an eye-catching aircraft.
From the Minicraft Aircraft of the Presidency set, I'll be doing this classic flying boat.
To whet your appetites, one I did earlier.
Whilst it'd be easy enough simply to re-post the pictures of that build, (yes...the Airfix 314 is the same as the Minicraft)...that'd be cheating...

Had to come. Hard as it is for a staunch Aussie supporter to admit it, definitely well played, England. By the time your team visits our shores again, the Australian team will be very different in composition, with Clarke and Rogers retiring after the 5th Test, Watson and Haddin...
Hi all,
So this is where I will be showing the build of my latest Resin creation the Mk.II Supermarine Walrus.
Like the Arado196 mentioned in Smeg's thread this model has also gone through a number of iterations to reach it's current 'Gold' standard of detail.
My first effort at...
