I picked up an Atlas Il-4 many years ago from the late Russ Chmela. Russ had done some work on the diecast, making it look considerably better than the original, so whilst I was interested in this recent release, the Blenheim and Tu-2 were of far more interest. The former sadly...

I know where you are coming from. I have Kami's Westland-Hill Pterodactyl and I'm trying to decide where some struts start and stop. On the D.510 build, I almost threw out a small part thinking it was residue. Times like those, I wish Kami's clean-up was more like Anigrand or...
I have converted peters Anigrand Bonus Kit page from 'frontpage' to proper(ish) HTML.
In addition, I have started to extend the catalogue to include the kits released after the scope of peters page ended.
I am hoping that - people can help out, to push this over the line.

It happens, I stumbled acriss a very useful and well constructed document for a project underway at work.
Only to realise I'd written it myself two years ago.. No recollection of it at all...
BD99, I can answer your query about the quality of Anigrand castings as I have the said Daimler-Benz Projekt B from way back and a fair few newer models from the range. Categorically, the answer is yes, they have definitely improved, both in the level of detailing and the ease...
Hi all,
Below is an ongoing list of all the 1/144 Japanese Gasaphon aircraft kits that have been made.
There is a Japanese site (Military Museum) that also lists these kits with pictures here:
Clicking on the links on the left will take you to a seperate page with pictures and...

Somehow I managed to post the same message twice... 🙄
I thought it might be handy to have a listing of available aircraft by country.

Yes, we can officially remove all FE-Resin links. The website hung around for a number of years after the company's demise and the birth of from the ashes. As we know, some of the range made the transition across to Miniwing initially, including the Avia B-35 and the majority of...
I want to compile a list of all the resin aircraft manufacturers both current and old.
Please add any extra detail such as if still in business, what kits they produced if known, quality of kit, decals, etc.
Kami de koro koro (now Piccolo Model Factory) have a seperate listing...

On reflection, I really do not think my is an Eiriksson...and prefer to return to my original belief that it was a product of someone who once worked for Corgi.
That said, I have to say that the Eiriksson stuff is very attractive.

No.19, apparently released Feb 14 - 1/144 Nakajima C3N1
'During the formative years of Japan's air forces, she purchased some types for evaluation (like the Seversky 2PA-B3 and the Dewoitine D.510 which some contend helped in the development of the Zero) and she allowed her...
I'm trying to build up my collection of unmade Welsh Models RAF post war kits but there are a few that I don't know anything about. This means I can't search for them to obtain.
Does anyone know of a full listing, or know which kits were allocated the following numbers?
Some weeks ago I found 2 F-4E Doyusha kits for less than 10€ in the bay - I had to buy them!
Doyusha features Japanese aircraft in different liveries, beautifully prepainted and -decalled. Almost a shame to tear it apart and repaint it, but I'm currently not really interested in...

That is looking the goods! Gotta love how you've managed to make the two balls in the cockpit actually look like helmets. I suspect when the canopy goes on, no-one will be the wiser that they are not complete figures.
This has been a bit of a bench queen for a while. It's the Sram Junkers CL.1.
A solid, hardy ground attack aircraft, I sort of think of it as the grand-daddy of the Stuka. The corrugated duralumin skin is also classic Junkers - clearly reminiscent of the Ju-52...
I present to you an Italian Tornado. Model is from F-Toys.
Lately I've been wanting to do a progression of Italian Air Force fighters. I finally started working on it by researching aircraft markings and working on decals for aircraft types not represented in our scale. For...

Thank you @marcopreto for reminding me! I think I have the 1/144 Italian ECR two-in-one kit from from Dragon in my storage unit.
I also have another Tornado ECR kit (1/144 from Revell) in process, but set aside. (Not for the Italian AF.) I really should pull it back out and...

Cool
I finished a build of the Heller/Revell Jean Darc in 1/1200 a few months ago. The original model is AWFUL. I modified it to waterline and almost completely rebuilt the superstructure, new masts, used plastic rod to make the lifeboat containers, scratchbuilt the...
OK, I decided to post some pictures of the models I've finished thus far here in a single thread so I don't spam this section - I'll probably switch to one thread per model with the WIP stuff.
My main motivation for building small jets is not so much exact documentation of any...

Several of your comments about the paints and varnishes ring true with me.
After relying on them for years, I dropped Humbrol enamels for Tamiya acrylics in the 1980's, in part because it was so much easier to clean out the Paasche airbrush I was using at the time. Oh, and...
These have been sitting on my 'finish fettling now or forever hold thy peace' list for some time.

I like the variety, too - olive drab and NMF, razorback and bubbletop... The perfect proof that a pair doesn't have to be symmetrical to be perfect.
I'm not really that into drones. But I do have a fascination with aircraft development and testing, so anything flown by NASA appeals.
The Global Hawk is also a very impressive looking drone. It is absolutely vast... It looks like it eats other, piloted aircraft for...

A big, glossy white beauty. Preparing for an airliner next perhaps 😉
In regards weaponising this beast, I guess the Occam's Razor comes into effect, or variant thereof - if it could be done, someone will already have done it!
I bet they have a prototype somewhere that could,...

After the Soviet Union planned his new Energia Rocket System and the Buran space shuttle in the mid-1970s, there was a big problem. The components were too large to be transported by rail or road to the Baikonur Cosmodrome, 2500km away from Moscow. The only possibility...

Last year built up an old Crown Mustang kit using DrawDecals - er - decals to represent a racing plane. I so enjoyed myself that I did it again, this time using a Bandai P-38J/L.
I considered using the old Crown P-38 but it's such a terrible shape and the Minicraft repop I...
