Wanted to show you a little recent project that was a really nice break from the bigger, more exciting projects I've been working on. This one was almost a complete exercise in fun.
Backstory:
As a kid who grew up in the 90's in a house full of model...

Thanks for the encouraging words guys! I have at least two more smaller Micro Machines dioramas in the works that will have just two aircraft each. But before that, I have some more pressing deadlines regarding the Vought Dio. Stay tuned!
A formerly quiet, rural Italian town on the long road between Napoli and Roma becomes the scene of more fighting as German soldiers slowly falling back up the Italian peninsula, resist fiercely against the seemingly unstoppable advance of Allied forces.

Nice, very nice scene and realisation, great details 👏👏👏👏
Recently I was approached by the president of the museum and a fellow BOD member with a request to find and build a 1/24th scale OH-6 of our own combat vet.
His plan was to give a close ally of the museum (a local trucking company that has helped with the...

Very nice! Modelling can be so easy, when you don't need tweezers to hold the parts
Anyway a perfect contribution to the museum, and thanks very much for sharing the build! Sometimes I simply forget there are other scales, too
I have no affiliation to this seller from darkest Devon. However, as I have shamelessly stolen their images I thought it only right to credit them.
Points of interest
- Prices
- Many of us would have built a number of these 1/72 'back in the day'
- competition to fly in a...

It's David's next door neighbour ...
When I look at this, I kick myself for having sold off all my old Airfix, Tamiya and other catalogues before I headed interstate to do my postgrad in the 1980's. Love the nostalgia (and the prices). ;)
Just been looking at the F-Toys website for possible further info on the possible 1:144 Spitfire release.
Full Action 1:72 Volume 7 has been announced as a Blue Impulse F-86. The market will be more limited than for the earlier releases but it is good to see continued activity.

Hashimoto_hobby did a review video...can't say I am all that impressed.
Found in my stash, it's the first but not the least ....
Very funny to, no rulles, no FS, no nothing :D :D
Thanks for looking

Nice paint job. GWs stuff is my go to when I need to build something that's not requiring any serious concentration on getting things right. So, what chapter? Salamanders or Dark Angels?
Just got hold of a couple of Revell PT boat kits, one being an early war representation of JFKs boat and the other a late war model with extra guns etc. Both stated to be 1/72. Neither come with crew figures which sort of puts a damper on any diorama presentation. Other than...

Looks like Hecker & Goros had some, not sure if they're still available.
Razor Crest Bandai Box Scale kit WIP. This is my interpretation..... Haven't seen the series, so it's going on screenshots and some short clips..... So far so good.

A year or two ago I ordered (what I thought was one of the super detailed 1/18th scale Razor Crest toys) but I ended up getting scammed and got this 3D Printed model. I'm guessing its close to 1/144th scale but I need to measure it.
So after building a 1/48th scale Jeep for my father last year for X-MAS, I was wondering how to top it this year. At the same time my parents bought a pre-built shed that was supposed to be the Jeep's home in the case of an emergency. Well that went out the window, and its...
Another big :P , escape from the small 144 :D
Similar to CV-33 this polish tanketa is with AT gun 20 mm .
Producer First of Fight , small number of parts but crisp and with fine and crisp details.
At the end comparison with CV-33, which is longer but narrower than TK, obviously...
In 2016 the Star Wars prequel Rouge One was released, this film is arranged shortly before the classic trilogy (Ep. 4-6). The city of Jedha plays a role here, where the Kyber Empire mines crystals as a source of energy for the Death Star. During this time, a star...

Your models never fail to inspire and delight, Marco. Something very different from you, but still has all the hallmarks of a brilliant build, with the added bonus of a great vignette.
Seeing this monster hovering over Jedha reminds me of one of the classic lines from...
My name is Peter and I am a model builder... well, sometimes... :?
I always admire the builds presented in this forum. Not only because of the fantastic quality, but also because you guys actually build models!
Now, as for most of you, too, an important part of the game for...

I enjoy the research stage too, and can wind up pretty far down the rabbit hole. We're so lucky these days with most things though, and an abundance of material is often just a few clicks away.
My main danger is suffering what I can only term as an excess of inspiration where I...
I got a little tired of chopping up with 144, so I switched to bigger ones, to 72
A friend gave me a model from S.model's double packaging of this Italian tankette.
So it was created in the interwar period as a tank to support the infantry in the trench battle .

Definitely a tankette ... and a small tankette at that. Great little build! Just imagine how tiny this guy would be in 1/144 ...
Naturally being a member here I am into 1/144 modelling. It's my preferred scale for nearly all subjects (within reason). That said I also build and collect ships in 1/1200 & 1/1250 as well as Star Trek ships in 1/1000 and 1/2500. Small scale and...

Getting even the guns to spin up seems pretty impressive to me. My one attempt at flying a remote control a/c was a dismal and rather expensive fiasco.. i kinda forgot that when the plane us coming towards you, you need to reverse how you operate the yaw controls. Unfortunately...
After my longest exhibition break so far, I wanted to write a detailed report for IMPS Belgium's Plastic & Steel 2021.

Preparations:
My last exhibition took place in January 2020, although a lot had been planned for the year, the Covid-19 pandemic intervened and...

The toothpick in foam approach again! I transported my entire collection this way at the start of the year when moving home. Can't recommend it enough ... ;)

Given the subject material, what more can I say but Groovy! Imagine that racing up behind the T-34s and KV-1s at Kursk. Then again, with the surfboard, perhaps this one was stationed near the Kamchatka Peninsula ... :?
Most members probably already know of this; however, for the last 10 years or so Eduard has produced a free monthly magazine/catalogue online. I have been collecting these magazines since the start as they are full of good painting details, as well as parts lists etc....
Maybe interesting for some European Members:

I'm planning to be there (If my car pass the Technical Inspection tomorrow  ), with a big table full of 1/144 Models!

Yes, your New Car Warranty has probably just lapsed ...
I had my little 2006 Hyundai Getz until the middle of last year. Unfortunately, I was looking at a pretty major engine issue that was going to cost more than the car was worth, so I traded it in on a new (and equally...
