Just bagged one of these. Very nice detail. Good choice of stores including rotatory launcher and wing pylons for ALCM and two sprues of alternative loadouts including Harpoons and various non-Nuke bombs etc
Cockpit is pretty decent although the seats have limited detail. One...

Thanks for that information. I was going to pull my DVD of By Dawns Early Light and see if I could work out the crew and seating from that movie (or A Gathering of Eagles might have helped).
Just took delivery of a pair of these in the RAF scheme with the bulged bomb bay. First time I have ordered from them but will be going back for more. Probably get the RN colour scheme version. Interested to see how their Javelins compare to the Triple Nuts and Anigrand...

I got my Buccaneer a few months back- REALLY pleased with that kit! I bought the option with the bulged bomb bay door, and I'll probably make a feeble attempt to display it as open with some bombs inside.
A few weeks ago I posted a thread where I have picked up a set of 1/150 Platz fire tenders that were a repop of an earlier F-Toys set. The problem was that the Platz set was molded in opaque plastic with silver painted windows rather than as clear molded parts overpainted in...

After seeing this post, I thought I'd pick up at least one or two of the MAF-60A's. then painting them florescent yellowish/greenish of modern USAF Crash Trucks...
But just checking the listing of some of these crash truck kits today on eBay...
My initial order of Paint and Glue have arrived plus a bunch more on the way. M7 Tractor, German armoured car, Chevy Truck LRDG, US Staff Car and British Staff Car.
I don't know if this has been covered before - if so my apologies.
I saw a Revell 1:144 De Havilland DH-2 on eBay and not having seen one before I snapped it up. It arrived this morning as shown on eBay. However, when I opened the box to have a quick look at the kit it turned...

Whatever the scale, that's a little beauty! Of course, I'm again hyperventilating at all the rigging ...
I've recently been back into the modeling again. Well, more active in it- I never leave it. But lately there's been some Acquisitions , and I'm getting back to it. Hopefully some of the stuff arrives soon- today I should get my Minihobby JGSDF Type 90 tanks, and hopefully my...

They aren't here yet, but I finally found different 3D printing people to make a decent air compliment for my 1/800 scale carrier, so now it will have a good amount of F/A-18E, F-35C, and SH/MH-60s for the deck.
Thanks for the opinions on the Great Wall Victor bomber. Arrived today and is a really nice, sharply molded model.
Also got a further Minicraft B-29. Its one of the earlier models and lacks the minor improvements in the later releases but also picked up a couple of decal sets...
Just scored this on eBay. I already have the US version but missed the German Navy version when it came out. Wanted this both for the post war AFV but in particular for the Bristol Sycamore helicopter.
Not decided yet but don't think I will build it as the German Navy version....

To make matters worse, the window infills are very unconvincing based on these photos. A cautionary tale for all of those of us who would have thought a re-issue would be identical to the original. :(
Just ordered one of those 4D puzzle kits through Ebay, this one of the J-31 (which looks to be an F-35A rip off). The seller advertises it as 1/144 although the Jury is out until it arrives and I can measure it up. I know that some others have been off by varying degrees but...

No decals, panel lines are really wide and deep and the landing gear is awful, so I chose to pose mine as in flight. It does not build like a normal kit but more like toy, I think.
But it's very close to 1/144. And mine was really cheap.
So I am planning to get into this scale with some highly detailed kits.
A Tempest with as many after market options and the Ar-96B - Let me know if you have tried these accessories.

I've not used those sets but I did use the Sun Details engine in a 109 and it was a bit of a struggle - instructions were on the vague side for sure.
Brengun - Horten and Horten Night Fighter
Miniwings - McDonnell Banshee, Avro Arrow
Miniwings Plastic - Aero L-159, Strikemaster, Dragonfly, Sea Hawk

Trying to limit my purchases here, but a few kits will find their way into my cupboard nonetheless whenever I see something unusual and relatively cheap.
The first addition in 2023 was a lot of up to three kits in one box, namely . There was no guarantee it would actually be a...

I spent a great deal of time scratchbuilding a cockpit for the Ki-43 and when I closed the fuselage I cried because you cannot see anything in there as the hole at the top is so tiny.
His just sharing, got the gashapon fever payed an small fortune to source and got this sets,
The only ones I wasn't able to get is the special edition of the first issue (when they began to paint canopies)
The first edition I got it, but without box.
They are really, really nice.

Just further to this topic, if you get your hands on any of the long-OOP Takara Wings of the Luftwaffe releases, there's a definite case for only touching up and putting seat belts in cockpits. The finishes on many of these were impeccable, with mottling most of us would...
Having looked at FoxOne kits for some years and never having taken the plunge I ordered their Lysander last week from HLJ together with the Kami De Korokoro Fairey Firefly. Excellent service from HLJ: ordered on the 18th delivered on the 22nd. From Japan. To Scotland. More often...

Price has always been an issue, both with Beaver and FoxOne. My two FoxOne kits, the and the , were both evilBay purchases where I paid a lot less than the retail asking price. Both are very nice but the original prices were out of my range. One long-OOP that I wouldn't have...
I just received another packageof 1/144-scale awesomeness from mtcc75 on Ebay today. Thank you Mark for the awesome service. You have gotten me hooked on the small-scale kits again!

If we do go with the Minicraft GB as is looking highly probable, the rules will most likely allow the Crown originals to be included (since they are identical, save the decals), so you've now got another three kits to choose from! ;)
Just picked up an HMA F-15 Eagle Plus from the Patlabor 2 movie for £10.00. Its been going for upwards of £50,00 so very pleased with the outcome. Got one already but (a) was wary of building and (2), in the movie there are two featured in a prominent intercept scene so an kinda...
