I managed to snag on of the Tiger Force Lancaster specials a while back. Nice model. The only other that I know of in 1/144 is the Minicraft kit and I cant ever recall seeing one on sale. Wonder if it was a planned release that was killed by the demise of Minicraft

In any event given the rarity of the Tiger Force model from F-Toys I would be inclined to complete it as the release model and as you say, a shame to paint over the finely completed canopy.

Organizing the hobby table for now. I want to finish the F14 and A6 for the Naval group build tonight. And along with those, my F-35B and Su-24 are not far off from done, either.

Oh, and also- I got some teeeeeny tiny little decals, so I am working on a display I can finish because it's pretty much just painting and decals. I had a 1/480 C-5 Galaxy, and so I went on Shapeways and found a set of 4 little 1/500 F-15C eagles to escort it. :D So with these little decals, I'm basically doing national insignia and little "FF" markings on the tails. I have various decals to cobble together for the C-5. Going to model them all in flight.

Thank you, its actually not finished yet as a model. I left it incomplete to comply with the aircraft rules rather than getting bundled into diorama category. Got some accessories and crew to add.

Unfortunately I suspect the decals may be unrecoverable, given the heavy fading of the kit box.

However the all-white Aéronavale scheme would be a good use of the canopy.

Alas the Berna decal sheet is OOP, but if anyone has one for sale, or even just the bits for that scheme, please let me know. 😁

Yessir, excellent stuff! Mind you, with the hundreds of vignettes you brought to the Model Show, it would have been an absolute travesty if you hadn't scored at least one gong. Stunning, each and every one.

Thank you 😊

The British shows are quite differently arranged to the US, European and maybe Antipodean events. Most of the tables are display only, the competition is a seperate, often much smaller area.

This does mean you don't have to worry about being judged for your main display, but as its smaller, the competitions often have only a few, broad categories which disadvantage 144th modellers when bundled in with 24th scale monstrosities!

As a result I don't typically enter the competition, plus you miss the chance to chat to spectators and see people enjoying your models, but since this show had a specific 144th category, then it seemed a perfect one to try out in.

PS. Before the opportunity disappears, look what page we are up to in "What are you working on this weekend?"? Insert Twilight Zone theme here ... :P
