A Deck Packed with Aces

#1

Post by smeg1959 »

In the GB20 General Discussion, I made mention of this page listing all the Ukrainian aces of WW2. Being so focussed on the one topic, I didn't go to the home page until today and boy, is this THE site for finding aces or what? WW1, WW2, the Korean War, the Spanish Civil War, Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts  ... you name it. And listings covering practically every air force and nationality you care to think of. The bibliography alone is longer than most books I have read! Whilst the Ukrainian page is obviously of immediate value to some of us, many other pages are proving their worth. And the great thing is that each pilot is listed with the units he or she served with and, in many cases, the types of aircraft they flew. Remarkable stuff IMHO.

Now you know that WCdr Aubray Richard DeLisle Inniss was the top scoring ace from Trinidad during WW2. ;)
OTB ...
GB20 - AW.650-222 Argosy (MikroMir); GB22 - B-25J Mitchell (Academy-Minicraft); Non-GB - Pe-2 (Decapod 3D)
