The story is excellent. You do realise this could be the start of something. A fellow Melburnian, John Baxter has written no less than five books using the premise of alternative history to cover the Luftwaffe (3 books), the Kriegsmarine (1) and the RAAF (1). I have the first of these and it is a good read. It also features colour photos of models related to either directly or indirectly in the tales. Some are his models, others are not.

Seems like you're ticking all the boxes to compete with John - stories, photos, models. ;)

To prove to newbies we never indulge in zombie threads, I'm revisiting this brilliant build to announce that Fantastic Plastic has added this one (and several other 1/144 kits) to the "Retired Kits" part of the site. It would appear that Allen Ury generally gives these things a 4 - 5 year life unless they sell out beforehand.

So Angus, you've now got a huge rare bird on your shelves!
