Purchased the Whirlybird F-4C and F-4D kits from ebay.
Kit contents (both models):
Proper cockpit
Both USN and USAF style inner wing pylons
F-4C/D and F-4J nose cone
Both Short (F-4C/D) and Long (F-4J) engine exhausts
2 outer wing and centerline fuel tanks
1-20mm gun pod
2-travel pods
4-AIM-7 Sparrows
Sidewinder rails supplied with inner pylons but NO missiles
2 decal choices
Comprehensive assembly instructions, aircraft history and decal placement guide.
Not too crazy about the 2 vacuform canopies with NO frame lines to help with masking.
I am thinking about a Whirlybird / LS kit bash would be the way to go for me. At least the LS canopy has the frame lines.

Joel, are still planning an F4B? I am sure you will remember the wing bulges will need to go!

David,
You're referring to the bulges on top of the inner wing near the wing root?
If so, I missed that rather large detail.
I have not started painting so I can still save the build.
Many thanks, Joel
