F-Toys WKC VS.17
My consignment from Akira arrived half an hour ago. I went for two of each and have spent the last few minutes having a good look at them.
Both are well tooled, although the TBD cockpit is maybe a bit on the simplistic side. However, some deft work with the paintbrush and some Tamiya Tape harnesses will improve things no end. The pre-war yellow wings TBD will be a very striking model, as will the silver and red Kate.
Both types are recommended, and seem to be selling well.

No, an airmail service to Europe has been reinstated. It is no longer cheap though!

Oh I see. He posted mine by sea - didn’t say there was an aerial option. Ah well. I’m sure I’ll find SOMETHING in the stash I can build in the meantime…

Akira sent mine by sea as well. 24 hours later Japan started doing air mail again
Happy enough to wait though. It will be an early Christmas present.

On Japanese twitter a fellow called Kamuyata finished his Devastator off with some decals and a panel line wash. Wow

I put my two together yesterday along with my two Kates. That gives me a standard to aim at!

Very nice! I’m glad I didn’t think twice about not paying a fortune for the AKI resin kit back when that was available. Japanese Twitter sounds like a very civilised place.
