Hi, just got my box.
Very nice models. The bare metal ones seems very attractive.
As secret item I got a TBD.
Since I am not an expert and do not speak Japanese, can anyone tell me about this version?
Regards

Hi A4Arg

if you can supply a clearer image of the QR Code, it would be possible to follow the link. The he image supplied isnt clear enough for my phone to read it.

Okay, interesting

Its an overview of each of the VS types and doesn't contain information on each item in the series :(

It would still be useful to get the links for each of the series if people have them?

Hello, as mentioned by other forum members. Just general info
The QR show this internet address:

https://f-toys.net/wkc_vs17p25ghj~5lk/v ... 62vx-.html

I would like to se a more detailed info of the decals/markings in other languages since I don't read Japanese.

To other forum members,
Can I ask about the decals? I found that F-Toys decals are particularly thick (I understand it is for easy handling) but, how do you trim they down? So they can blend nicely when varnished?

Just asking a

A technique that I have developed with F-Toys decals is to use a fine sanding block on the decal sheet whilst it is in one piece. This has two benefits: firstly it thins the decals so that they adhere to non-flat surfaces; and secondly it takes the intense gloss off the decals. I use Humbrol Decalfix to make sure that the decals stay in place and then seal with a semi-matt spray varnish. I use a rattle can for this which works well for me.

Which grain grit do you use? I.e. 600, 1000, 2000?
Thanks in advance

Really helpful!: it needs to be coarse enough to do the job but fine enough not to score the decals. As long as you are not heavy handed 600 grit should be fine.

I suggest seeing what works best for you with some sacrificial decals.

Thanks Sergei,
used a 600 grit (not new) sanding sponge, removed the upper gloss varnish. They look much better and merged better (than my prior experience with a su24 from Ftoys).
But, the decal doesn't reacted with Mr Softer (Gunze), Micro sol did it better but took a lot of time.

Use Google Translate on your phone , its does a live translation of anything you point it at ...when in Camera mode of course - managed to read it off the photo you did

DId a bit of a search and came up with profile off said aircraft , from CASU-25
CASU-25-02.png
CASU = Carrier Air Service Unit = "Carrier Aircraft Service Units were formed to repair and maintain aircraft"
