Having finally beaten the fuselage into submission, it was nice to play with the 4 engines;

Lots of wheels and I finally learned how to use my Punch & Die set, for masking hubs;

Image

Fortunately, I'd already decided upon a ramp-down option, so this did not cause me any angst;

Image

At no point in the instruction sheet is nose-weight mentioned. Those less-experienced modellers, who chose a gear-down, ramp-closed build, will now be rather niggled.

Like I said, I have my ramp down;

With all that interior falderal - double hull, rows of seats and carpeting, the open ramp is more or less obligatory.
Good on ya for going the extra mile to put that stuff on display.

When this kit came out, I didn't fancy a USAF machine and so bought the Xtradecals set, with RAF in it.
This came with a handy set of colour pictures, that allowed me to add some more painted detail, such as the pale grey around the engine intakes.
The decals themselves, as per Hannant's usual excellent quality, were of excellent quality!

Thanks, That made me smile! :D
Nicely done, it looks excellent in the RAF decals. the light grey intakes and the bare metal slats add just enough contrast.

There is a lot to like about that kit. the open front door with the hand rails is particularly sweet.
