Peter's Hawk75 v Swordfish and/or Walrus

Spitfire versus Bf109? MiG-15 versus Sabre? Stuka versus T-34? Martians versus humans? Any pair of 1/144-scale items that were pitted against each other in mortal combat are fair game. Get those creative juices flowing ...
Runs from 7 May 2016 to 17 July 2016.

hmm, been a bit quite around here....?
Here is a picture of the Walrus with the basic paint scheme done (needing weathering but how much?) and the rigging underway using EZ Line.

Outstanding! That Hawk 75 is a work of art. Really looking forward to seeing how the Walrus turns out. It's looking sweet.

Been away for 2 days of the long weekend (doing BigGun Combat Warships) so not much time for modelling.
But, I did get time to add some more rigging and the top wing to the Walrus:

I'm typing this at work and will add pictures tonight.
Why is it that I am never satisfied with what I have done and keep finding ways to add details!
So, I have added two small Brass rings (formed around the end of a suitably small paint brush) to put inside the two gunner's opening to represent the MG scarf ring.
Also added the rear Gunner's hatch cover from clear acrylic and masked a couple of windows in it.
Interiors of the openings shaded to better represent some depth to the holes.
Some further rigging added, as well as the white metal engine that I am debating whether to do more detail on(!).
Pilot's seat and control column (made from sprue and a tiny curved section of brass wire)added as well as some painting in the cockpit.
Horizontal tail plane added and also very unusual fin stripe (very long). I put the decal on now as I wasn't sure I could fit it around the tail plane struts when they are in place.

Looking good! Must get myself one of these - an early 1:72 Airfix / Matchbox? Walrus was one of those memorable builds when I was a wee one. Looking forwards to seeing the completed article!

It looks REALLLLLLY good.

I suspect it would look awkward with the wheels down?
