Presently @myworkbench

Although 1:144 is my preferred scale for my general aviation themed scale model collection, I also like to build other subjects and scales.

So here are a few photos of the model that presently lives on my workbench, a Bf 109 G-6/R-6 in 1:32 scale, being built using Revell's G-6 kit and Eduard's underwing cannon pods (it's very close to its completion):

I'll post a couple of photos as soon as I complete it and I plan to update this thread with many more projects that will follow!

All the best
Cheers

That is totally sublime!

In a former life, I had the original boxing of the Revell Bf109G-6 and, I can assure you, it never ended up within a zillion miles of this beauty. Mmmm, now I'm trying to work out when and where all my 1/32 big 'uns disappeared. :?

Thank you for your kind comment.

The kit I'm using is much newer (new molds dating from 2013)!

And is quite cheap (it was cheaper than many of the 1:144 scale models in my stash)

Definitely not always the case with Revell. I watched this YouTube review of 2024 releases and was stunned by some of the prices being quoted. The other worrying aspects were the huge number of different scales (1/31 scale ... are they taking the mick?) and the reissuing of kits from the Dark Ages. I thought Minicraft was bad with all their Crown repops, but at least they were from the 1970's. But the E-3A Sentry's origins to the 1957 Stratotanker kit is beyond belief. Worse still, it is branded as 1/144 but actually scales out as 1/139, not surprising since the original came from the "box scale" era. It is also infinitely more expensive!

Whilst Revell are a helluva lot bigger than Minicraft, if they don't start mending some of their ways, they'll end up on the cutting room floor, too. More new tools like your Gustav here ... ;)

Here's a suggestion to Revell ... include some of these photos in your catalogue or on your website. If they don't get Gustavs flying out the hobby shop door, I don't know what will! ;)
