I knew of this specially camoflaged Su-122 from several publications: I believe I should have an actual photo of the original somewhere. Amazing job with the decals! I like your model very much!
About the Char B1bis: years ago several original colour photos of French 1940 tanks have resurfaced, showing amazing colour combinations. Something like the scheme shown here on 'Le Scorpion' (the Renault 35 shown on the bottom of the page)
https://www.chars-francais.net/2015/ind ... amouflages
Can't remenber if there was something for a B-1bis; must look for them, they were on a French magazine specialized in 1/72 tanks. However, keep in mind that on B-1 tanks mud and dust falling from the tracks very soon covered most of the tank sides...

Moresby, I'm really tempted to buy a few Char B1-bis from John because of all the amazing schemes available for the tank. In a way, it's like the Bf109E or numerous Regia Aeronautica aircraft. You could focus on the one type and come up with a collection where the same scheme never appears twice. ;)

What is great about that French website you referenced is the incredible number of wartime photos. For Fantasque, there's pics from all angles, so little guesswork coming up with accurate patterns. Oh how we wish every aircraft and tank could be as well documented. Of course, the colours need to be confirmed ... B&W photography has certain limitations! :P

Great job, Smeg! And I’ll echo Tim’s comment regarding the need to appreciate just how tiny this model is.

Stunningly mad, perhaps?

And just in case the guy that accused F_IV of trick photography is looking in and thinking "Yeah, right! It's the bloody Zvezda kit!", a photo featuring my ugly mitts ...

That SU-122 came out crazy good, what a great idea to use decals for the camo. Impressive work.
Also Arrowhead is having a 20% sale till the end of the month, would be a good time to snap up a few Char B1 bis tanks.

Wish you hadn't told me that. I placed my order 24 hours too soon!
