I am having trouble with the AliExpress website/search function locating the CC Lee Mirage 2000-5F. A link would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the link.
Noticed there is a "new" Rafale kit in your link.
Wonder if it's based on the Heller kit?

ive seen a picture in the feedback on the pge, it is indeed also a Heller rebox.
i have the heller boxing of the rafale, for a kit from the 2000's its very bad, no cockpit, no detail,...
the revell kit is cheaper and far superiour.

To be honest no cockpit isn't a major issue. None of the original LS kits had any cockpit interior and I can recall extensive scratch building if cockpit interior for LS F-14s and Tornado models out of styrene sheet scraps. They may not have been 100% accurate but were enough for me.

We have been spoiled ever since with top quality interior detail from Revell and aftermarket sets.

I mean what would you rather have to scratchbuild? A Mirage 2000 cockpit or an entire Mirage 2000?

What I got out of Nil's post was the Heller Rafale M was released a year after the Revell Rafale M.
And by all categories of comparison, I also thought it was not a very good kit (I have the Revell, Heller and Trumpeter Rafales in my stash). So, I am going to pass on the CC Lee Rafale M kit.

Now if Heller were to release a Mirage 2000D kit to the standards of their Mirage 20005-F or Rafale M that would be good enough for me as it would be the only game in town (I have the Shapeways two-seater and it doesn't count).

I still like the LS F-4E and F-20 kits and thanks to RetrokiTs we have a cockpit set (F-4J/S - close enough for me) for both kits. Also, there are the recently released Platz weapon sets.

Yes you are right. I misread the post reference to 2000s models and my brain inserted Mirage 2000 :D
