My headquarter

#1

Post by Fabiolone »

I'm away from my workbench since months. Part of this situation is because I decided to rethink my hobby zone. With Heroes Models, my hobby partially turned into a work so my workbench must be usefull also for the working part.

And that's the result, here is where my models will be built and your orders prepared. In the same place all the new products will be developed. I know you tought we had a 1000m2 factory. It's true, but it's always in scale! (yes we also have a little garage where stock materials, but empty boxes are not so sexy to show).

All the forniture and some accessories are by Ikea, the paint racks are custom made.

Because of the wiring in my little brain, I tend to be pretty orderly otherwise I spend ages trying to locate things. But Fabio, your level of tidiness or organisation is at another level! One area where we are on the same page is that most of my furniture is thanks to our Swedish friends, albeit that my Effectiv workbench dates back to the 1990 edition of the Ikea catalogue.

I would be SOooooo embarrased to show the present state of my work area. I've taken some down time on my 1/144 aircraft modelling over the winter until the natural light improved. I've ended up assembling Warhammer figures on my dining table - no painting. Unfortunately I have ended up using my proper hobby room as a temporary dumping ground. I am going to have to take a WEEK off just to get things reorganised........

Mine is almost always cluttered to some extent, but right now it looks really bad because my next "wave" of builds is sitting there in a small stack, so things are especially messy.
