Challenged to a duel - Throwing down the Gauntlet

The two decades between the First and Second World Wars saw major advances in all areas of technology. In military and civil aviation, flimsy wood and canvas biplanes and triplanes gave way to sleek all-metal monoplanes. The lumbering "land ships" of WW1 were replaced by maneuverable tanks and armoured cars. In this GB, anything that was developed and operated between 1919 and 1939 (but not WW2) is fair game.
Runs from 10 August 2019 to 26 January 2020.

Sorry about the title!!

I have some decals for the Gauntlet, so I bought another Gladiator, downloaded some plans and here we go!

The Gauntlet has two bay wings and no flaps so out with the filler.

That plan is so cunning that if you put a tail on it you could call it a fox.

Well done that man. This should be excellent.

Talk about biting off more than you can chew, then chewing like there's no tomorrow. I'm impressed . .. and not a little jealous!

Some surgery on the fuselage, and a dollop of terracotta Miliput. I like the white but its a beast to mix and my grey green has gone 'off'.

The model has been polished and primed in black ready for the silver finish.

I need to work on my geometry to ascertain the length of the inner and outer sets of struts.
