Biff Bosh Bash

The two decades between the First and Second World Wars saw major advances in all areas of technology. In military and civil aviation, flimsy wood and canvas biplanes and triplanes gave way to sleek all-metal monoplanes. The lumbering "land ships" of WW1 were replaced by maneuverable tanks and armoured cars. In this GB, anything that was developed and operated between 1919 and 1939 (but not WW2) is fair game.
Runs from 10 August 2019 to 26 January 2020.

I'm sure there are some weird individuals out in Model Land who can't get enough struts. Personally, I hate 'em but, as you say, they are a necessary evil with 99% of biplanes. So watching with great interest ... and a modicum of sympathy. ;)

I'm still freaked out by biplanes.... Progress is looking very good.

I cut the Scarff rings from some aluminum tubes, I wonder is Angus's suggestionn of lead wire might be better?

Meanwhile at the same time as the Gauntlet, the Biffs got the black primer treatment.

Silver paint on, a forest of struts and on goes the top wing. Decals to come.

Nice going, David. It will look a treat.
I also make (my occasional) scarf rings from soft fuse wire or appropiate sized solder wire.

Gives me a lot of nostalgia for the old Airfix version I made 40 years ago. :)
