Hi,

Thank you Peter! Your kind words are really encouraging :)

Here's a bunch of masters for resin casting:

I think you might be interested how I made masters for ventilators. These are particular stages of production process:

And here is the process itself. I show the result as well as the tools used to do it:

Peter, this is one you definitely wouldn't be sinking at an ABG meet!

Hi,

I think I wouldn't stand a chance against all those battleships :D Nurek was just a floating base for divers. There are gossips that it had two maxim machine guns mounted in September 1939 but there is no reference to prove it.

Plus my model is so heavy it probably wouldn't even stay afloat ;) The hull is made mostly of car putty but my next 'sea' project has got a vaccum formed hull so it probably could be motorized. Unfortunately I have almost none experience in electronics and again the project is no battleship

Haha. Exactly what F_IV said. Amazing. Hard to believe that came from paper plans and entirely from scratch. What will you build next I wonder? I'm holding my breath...

Thank you gentlemen for your kind words :) This is my first ship model in 1:144 and as such it has got some flaws. But I believe the next ones are going to be better and better one after another :D

My currrent naval project in 1:144 is another scratch based on a scaled down paper model. It is ORP S-2 unofficially called Wilczur (vi:lʈʃu:r - Alsatian). Here is the cover of the paper model I use as reference. I also have model plans.

Image

The ORP S-2 was based on a British Power Boat 63' that Polish Navy got from British crown. Officials have swapped one of our torpedo boats from pre-war order for two old powerboats. Alsatian's first commander was ensign Wcislicki. One of his crazy actions almost ended up his career, but instead he was awarded by British Distinguished Service Cross and Polish Virtuti Militari.

Astounding! Once again, the scratchbuilding skills of some of our forum members leave me in awe. If I ever achieved anything vaguely as good as this, I would have to double my contents insurance, for fear something might happen to it!
