In many postes I can only see half pictures. What do I have to do, that I see everything?

If you hotlink the images this can happen, depending on then attributes of the original image file.

If you upload the images directly then the images are rezized until they are clicked on.

If you <right click> on the image, then click on <view image>, it should resize it to fit your screen.

the picture is all there, it just flows under the right hand edge of the viewing window. it does not shrink the picture to fit the window area.

every one who wishes to see the whole images has to open it in a new window, as Ryan described.

I wonder if there is a setting to turn on scroll bars for images in posts? or to shrink images to fit? i wonder what would happen if yo set the max image width to 800px?

No, there isn't.

They'd be smaller... This is how it used to be, memebr wanted them bigger. I think these parameters affect what can be uoaded rather than how displayed.

As per vioialy stated, the overspill basically happens on hotlink. Uploaded photos do resize themselves (as reflected by most of my posts, which have uploaded and rarely hotlink Ed images)
