External links open in 'New Window'

#1

Post by bluedonkey99 »

I have enabled a default board setting to "Open external links in new window". This means if you click on a link outside of the KG144 BSS, the link will open in a new window. This means you have the original board post/topic open and any links contained within that will open in a new browser tab/window.

If you are happy with this behaviour then you need do nothing else.

If you do not like this behavior, you can amend it to your personal preference (if you are logged in) in your personal user profile (as you can for the board font sizes and forum width) - then please amend as follows:

First navigate to the "User Control Panel"
UCP-select.jpg
Then (1) Select "Board Settings", then go down to (2) Select "Open external links in new window" and change to your prefered default.

Wow, very grateful for that. I must admit it did inconvenience me a little bit when the link opened in the same tab.
