Nice! All sounds good and I’m in for them all.

Did you make the stripe on KJ348 to be red or silver? I found a pretty conclusive reference that it was red (the pilots own words) despite there being a lot of debate about this.
The majority of profiles online agree with the pilot. I suspect that the silver comes from interpretation of the front end of the P-47D in the wartime photo, which can be found at the bottom of this webpage. The red option becomes the more apparent when you look at the lightning strike aft of the wing and compare it with the red in the tail flash. Very similar.

Definitely going to order this sheet when it becomes available. Reckon it would make a great pairing with the similarly adorned Israeli black Spitfire of Ezer Weizman. And before anyone takes me to task here, yes, I know THAT Spitfire wasn't painted this way until 1954. 8-)

Thank you for the discussion Gents!

I used the book The Republic Thunderbolt Mk.II by Phil Listermann (RAF-in-Combat series, Squadrons no.23)- there is a set of two good quality photographs of this machine taken in Fayid, Egypt. The one taken from front quarter is the same as in your link and it may create a perception of fairly bright stripe. The second pic is taken from the rear quarter and there the stripe shade is quite similar to he red shade in RAF roundel.
Our set will feature red stripes in two variants - one fitting the excellent Platz/Eduard kit and the second fitting the recent F-Toys one (also quite good). The differences to the recent Platz decals are related to the size of several markings - most often we work with photos of the actual airplanes unless clearly indicated otherwise (e.g. silver FM-2 'C50').

Two new photo-etched sets just went to the etchers. Generic stuff but we hope it will come handy for all night-fighter fans. ;)

The SO514411 set already contains some parts for Black Widow.
The remaining PE parts for this kit will be released separately. :)

Stay tuned!

Fantastic! Just what we need.

Any idea when the P-61 sheet will be available and what it will include (I asked, poised about to start one!).

:) Yep, the antennae for Beaufort are included here - I have modified and simplified them a little bit though.

The "Allied" set should be enough to cover RAAF Beaufort, CC Hudson, night Mossie/Defiant/Beau, Douglas P-70, Turbinlite, Black Widow and possibly a little bit more.

I am still waiting for my kits to arrive - I got the last two pieces of the second batch from Radjapan. After I get the plastic I will be able to tell the scope of the set. Hope It might be available sometime late summer/early autumn, we'll see.

Meanwhile our service for UK has been partially restored!

As we are working on various VAT registration issues our sets has become available at AviationMegastore.com.
The shipping to the UK is an option in this store – we would like to invite our UK-based Customers to check AviationMegastore's virtual shelves. :)

Stay safe and tuned!
Kind regards, Marek
