It's Air Show time!

Whilst previous Group Builds haven’t necessarily focused on aircraft, the vast majority of completions have fallen into that category. Well, this time, it will be very different! Anything not classified as an aeroplane is fair game here – AFVs, rockets and missiles, ships, figures, inventions from SF, you name it. Yes, even ekranoplans! Let’s see just how diverse we can get collectively.
Runs from 1 May to 1 August 2021.

OK so I can't do any aeroplanes but I can go to an Air Show right here in Chilsworthy.

The cars are getting here already.......

I love the Presier figures, their detail is insane.

Good to see no social distancing in that crowd David. Very refreshing.

Lots of familiar friends there! I worked as a modelmaker for architects for about ten years when I was a much (much) younger man. Those Preiser figures were always floating around. I think I must know the entire catalogue off by heart.

What brand are the cars? Oxford?

I have a few (very few) Japanese 1/160 cars and service vehicles but those look diecast.

Hi Tony, yes they are mainly Oxford part die cast and part plastic. The detail is lovely and the painting is first class. The Air Show fits well in this GB and will, I think, catch the eye at model shows locally. I have over 150 figures to paint and lots of ground support stuff to go on the display.

Angus,
The infection rate is very low here, so provided I use my mask when spraying and only use the Lateral Flow technique with the hairy stick everyone will be OK.

Careful with that hairy stick David. In the wrong hands you could easily have a super spreader event.

This is a challenge! I don't particularly like painting figures, let alone 144 and sure not dozens of them
Covid times, however, provide you with the unique opportunity to give every figure a colorful mask - much more interesting than flesh colored, expressionless faces
