Agreed. Not sure Kamov would want to include some of the footage of the Ka-52 in the current conflict as quite a few have been accompanied by large explosions with said helicopter in the middle ...
Except the Egyptians also fly them, having purchased them to fly off their 2 Mistral helo carriers.

I dunno.

I forget where I read it but I did see some comments that the Ka-52 is the nearest thing there is in real life to the fictional "Airwolf". Whilst not as sleek as the TV chopper I can see what they mean (plus so far as I know it is the only operational gunship/attack helicopter with side by side seating).

It sure is a cool looking whirly bird. But it would also be nice to see some aftermarket updates for the Mi-28. I'm pretty sure DML/Italeri's old kid is the earliest A, if not still based on a prototype. Probably not a profitable venture, since the kit is so rare, but some decals for the export users of it would be nice, too.

But back to the WTM stuff, years ago I found they made a simple kit of the AH-1 (I think it's an S), and I remember snatching those up anywhere I could find them. Nice little kit.

There were at least 3 versions of the Cobra released in the WTM range. A standard Grey/Green USMC cammo scheme, the desert cammo scheme and at least two JGSDF models.

I could be wrong but I also seem to recall a JGSDF special in a white/green winter cammo scheme.

The one I gave Herb was a special that was only available bundled with an Xbox video game.

Takara also made 2 1/144 versions of the Chinook, a Super Puma and a Blackhawk.

Too bad the Super Puma is so hard to find for a decent price. I'd buy only to cannibalize it for the large sponsons . . .

Chikara's great StarJet photo collection of gashapon rides again! With the activity from companies like F-Toys in recent years, such a pity he pulled the plug on the resource all those years ago.
