Mark One Latrine (All ranks)

#1

Post by BigReg »

Inspired by our own Peter Hawkins, I am building a backdrop/ base for my RAF 1940 models. It will form part of my display but as a vehicle for photography too.

Already I have Corgi card Nissen Huts and control tower as well as some plastic huts for dispersals.

With nervous energy, tea and adrenaline the Mark one Latrine is essential.

Here is the kit from Dornaplas.

Assembled and painted with the addition of a scratchbuilt toilet roll!

I wanted to add some graffiti and my favourite is a quote from the book Unbroken, by Alistair Mars

"This bloody outhouse is no good at all
The seat is too high and the hole is too small

underneath in a different hand,

To this I must add the obvious retort
Your arse is too big and your legs are too short.

That is brilliant, David. And that little graffiti exchange certainly brought a smile to my face!

OOOh, it looks like we might have a group of Aerodromes soon.

I love the WC.
