This is a bonus kit that comes with the C-17

After separating the parts and filing away the gates, the dry fit is excellent.

Im going to make it look like this Berry Aviation machine.

The hangup on this kit was the windows. a transparent part was provided, to drop into the cut outs on the sides, and then you was to cut 19 very small masks, not rectangles either, oblongs, and place them ever so evenly down the sides - and inside you would see...nothing. A coat of dark paint on the back of the insert.
So I painted the interface a pleasing shade of drab and set the transparancies in place, and they dont fit well, so they need substantial planing down to make the fuselage a perfectly smooth tube, in which case the window placing guides will be gone, and the surface with be frosted anyway.

Today I designed the decals for the subject including perfectly spaced cabin windows.

I will still mask the cockpit glass, that part fits perfectly, and the windows are big and clear.

I have all day tomorrow, nothing else to do at all but finish this kit. I have until midnight GMT is that right? should be just right.

another nice photo of the subject

Good point re the ballast and it's good to see you get spare prop blades.
Tell me you want an extension...until the end of the weekend, say?

OK, sure. I still have to do make up landing gear bay doors, that and the decals would benefit from a fresh start tomorrow.

Good lord, another gloss white airplane model.

since the dead line has been moved, I will let this cure overnight before masking for the silver wings and tailplane. That will be good.
